The former manager delivered a workshop for all of the coaches involved at the tournament in which he underlined the significance of player development: "The most important thing is that they take part and socialise and that they're able to do that through football."
LaLiga Promises isn't just about football, with the opportunity to learn also given its place across the event. This morning saw Vicente del Bosque, one of the most decorated coaches in the Spanish game, lay on a workshop in which he spoke to the managers about the importance of having positive personal relationships with the members of their teams, including the youngsters and the other adults involved: "Establishing these relationships is what brings you closer to achieving success."
The 24th edition of this prestigious competition continues to raise awareness about the numerous benefits involved in such projects: "We've got to continue to build the LaLiga brand and what better way to do so than through youth football? This tournament is an excellent showcase of our football and organisational skills."
Del Bosque went on to stress the vital role played by such tournaments in ensuring that the Under-12 starlets continue their development: "The most important thing is that they take part and socialise and football provides a marvellous platform for them to do so."
