Valladolid dominate on the road again

R. Valladolid CF beat R. Racing C. 1-4 on matchday 24 of the Liga Adelante in a game Rubi’s men were able to wrap up at the beginning of the second half.

The home side tried to take the initiative at the start of the game. Paco Fernández’s men threatened first with a few efforts on goal from dead ball situations, but failed to hit the target. However, it was Valladolid who broke the deadlock in the 31st minute when a Timor free kick hit the wall before winding up in the back of Mario's net.

It did not take long for Valladolid to make it 2-0 just after the half-time break. After losing his marker on the left wing, Johan Mojica wiped in a low cross which an unmarked Jonathan Pereira was able to finish off with ease. Racing did not let their heads drop and, in the 57th minute, Mamadou Koné saw his strike from outside the box smash off the post. Following a nice bit of line up play in the 60th minute, Jonathan Pereira jinked his way into the box before setting up Óscar to score the fourth. Racing got a consolation goal in the 72nd minute when a magnificent Koné pass found David Concha who was able to get the better of Javi Varas.
