Valencia’s 2-1 victory over Real Madrid CF left two of the team’s players injured. The Argentine Pablo Piatti, who will be out for a month and a half, and the Brazilian Diego Alves, both suffered injuries that will keep them off the field for Nuno Espírito’s team.
The South American winger had to be replaced in the first half of the clash against Madrid and medical tests performed by the club detected the presence of "a muscular injury in the rectus femoris of his left leg", which will keep him in the dry dock for 4 to 6 weeks.
The Brazilian goalkeeper Diego Alves, meanwhile, ended the game with a "sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee", which makes him unlikely to appear in the club’s coming matches against RC Celta and UD Almería.
