Valencia CF will face AS Monaco FC for a place in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League and getting to make history in the competition where, for the first time can be five teams from the same country.
Its opponent is not going to make it easy, as Monegasques reach the play off as one of the strongest teams in the qualifying. Valencia CF has been preparing this important clash since returning to work in preseason. Back to Europe is a top aim for of Nuno Espirito Santo’s men and will fight with everything to take LaLiga name as far as possible.
The first leg will be played at the Mestalla Stadium on 18 or 19 August, and the second around the 25 or 26 at Stade Louis II in Monaco. The “Che” side got the desired fourth place that opened the way to the Champions League in the last Liga BBVA 2014/15 fixture against UD Almería who was relegated to Liga Adelante following a Paco Alcacer´s goal.
