Licking their wounds and out to return to winning ways in the Liga BBVA. That’s the shape Valencia CF and UD Almería find themselves in going into their matchday 19 clash, which will see them fight to climb the table in the final week of the first half of the campaign.

Team news
Bruno Zuculini and Enzo Pérez return to a Valencia squad missing central defender Nicolás Otamendi, Pablo Piatti, Sofiane Feghouli, who is away at the Africa Cup of Nations, and João Pereira and Jaume Domènech, both left out for technical reasons. The Andalusians’ major squad news is the presence of ‘B’ team forward Dani Romera.

Views from the dugout
Valencia’s sole concern ahead of the match is getting the smiles back on the faces of the los che fans. "Our only problem is beating Almería and doing so in the best way possible, to give the supporters something to shout about again," insisted Nuno.
The opposition coach confessed that he knows the hosts well. "We’re aware of their threat; our idea as a team is to neutralise their play and look for weaknesses," said Juan Ignacio Martínez.
