UNICEF-Spain, within the framework of aid to the Philippines for the natural disaster caused by Typhoon Haiyan, continues its plan to provide aid to the Asian archipelago.
More than 90 people have been working since the 8th of November 2013 to help those affected by one of the worst typhoons ever to have reached land, which has affected more than 11.5 million Philippines natives.
The organisation has already sent various supplies, the distribution of which has now begun in the cities of Tacloban, Roxas and Ormoc. However, it is estimated that UNICEF will need 34.3 million dollars to meet the needs for water, hygiene and sanitation, therefore it will require everyone's collaboration.
UNICEF's main priority is to complete the life-saving tasks such as obtaining basic medicine, nutritional supplies, potable water and articles of hygiene for children and families.
