SÁB 20.09.2014

The Estadio de Riazor will see Deportivo host Real Madrid in the fourth round of Liga BBVA. The Galician side, who defeated Eibar 0-1 in their last game, will look to carry on their upward trajectory against a visiting outfit who will look to get back to winning ways following two consecutive defeats.

Team news

The home side's manager, Víctor Fernández, is without the injured trio of Lucas Pérez, Pablo Insua and Diego Salomão, but welcomes back Luis Fariña and Roberto Canella. José Rodríguez, who is on loan from Real Madrid CF, cannot play owing to an agreement between the two clubs.

Meanwhile, Pepe misses out for the side from the capital because of a muscle injury. Carlo Ancelotti will, however, recoup Dani Carvajal.

View from the dugout

Víctor Fernández praised his opponents, although he wanted to make it clear he felt his side have enough to take the three points: "We're conscious of their size and their footballing capabilities, but in football there's always room for surprise and fight. We’re playing at home in front of our fans and we have to give it our best shot".

Ancelotti highlighted the difficulty of the tie: "Deportivo will play with a lot of intensity. It's normal, we're used to it. It won't be easy at this stage in the season and we know we will have to be at our best".

Predictions from Sportium.es, the official La Liga bookmakers

Goal is a common guest at the Riazor, and is also the main protagonist of sporting bets.

In four of the last six games between Deportivo and Real Madrid, three or more goals have been scored, and thus far Real Madrid have scored four of their five league goals before the half hour mark. Therefore, if three goals are scored at the Riazor, the quota is €2.00, while the visiting side to be leading at the half hour point pays €2.10 per Euro bet.
