In 1996 a young 15 year old arrived at La Masia with a great future ahead of him. Barça's affection for passing football left its mark on the game of a Roberto Trashorras who would take his first steps in the Liga BBVA years later.

'The Mini Brujita', as he was called at the time because of his likeness to Juan Sebastián Verón, is the personification of the brand of football Paco Jémez has imparted on his team. In fact, the team from Vallecas are the only side in five and a half years to have had more possession than the Azulgranas in a Liga BBVA match. In total they have made 20,469 passes in their 38 Liga BBVA matches, third only to Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona.

The Catalan in is second place with 2,720 passes and 91 per match. He is followed by his teammates Sergio Busquets, Dani Alves, Andrés Iniesta and Cesc Fàbregas.

The other members of top ten of passers club are Atlético de Madrid captain, Gabi, Bruno Soriano of Villarreal CF, Valencia CF player Dani Parejo, and Luka Modrić of Real Madrid CF.

FC Barcelona top the team ranking with 26,958 passes, beating Real Madrid CF into second place by more than 4,000. The Liga BBVA champions are seventh with 17,649 balls played, an average of 464 per match.
