SÁB 20.02.2016

Team News:

- Atletico Madrid: Augusto Fernandez, Yannick Carrasco (injured); Jose Gimenez (suspended).

- Villarreal CF: Eric Bailly, Jonathan dos Santos and Samuel (all injured).

Match Facts:

Atletico Madrid (2nd, 54 pts):

- After their defeat to FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou, the Madrid-based club know only too well that they can ill-afford any further slip-ups. Last matchday Atletico saw off Getafe CF and in the one before that they proved too strong for SD Eibar. Diego Simeone's men will be hoping to make it three wins on the bounce in this one.

Fernando Torres is a man bang on form. He struck his 100th goal as an Atletico player against Eibar, and hit his 101st last time out against Getafe. In the wake of Jackson's departure, the Madrid-born forward has regained his place as one of the key figures in the Atletico attack.

Villarreal CF (4th, 48 pts):

- Unstoppable, such would be the best way to describe Villarreal right now. Marcelino's troops are on an 11-game unbeaten streak. Last time out they beat Malaga CF at the Madrigal in what was the home side's 14th win of the campaign.

-The Madrigal is an impregnable fortress, but Villarreal's away form is not to be sniffed at, with Marcelino's men having only been beaten twice on the road this season (at the Camp Nou and at Getafe's Alfonso Perez Stadium).

Don't leave Madrid without...visiting the Teatro Platea. Located in the heart of the Salamanca district in the central 'Plaza de Colon', this urban space, which extends over 6,000m, is home to 12 restaurants, six of which boast Michelin stars. As Europe's largest food and entertainment venue it is certainly well worth a visit.
