Real Betis – R. Racing C.
The Sunday in the Liga Adelante kicks off with a clash between opponents with different objectives. Betis will look for a victory to move them closer to the play-off spots, while the Cantabrians will be looking to move away from the relegation zone. Juan Merino, the Andalusian club's manager, is well aware of the significance of the match: "It's a very important game, another final. Simple as that. Anything else will keep me awake at night, so my mind is 100% on the match".
Albacete B – UE Llagostera
One point separates these two sides who are currently in the relegation zone. The Llagostera boss, Lluís Carrillo, mentioned the fact that both teams badly need a win: "Nerves could be a key factor; if the minutes go by and the score stays the same, a draw is no good. It will be a test for both teams; the one that keeps its composure will benefit".
R. Sporting – AD Alcorcón
R. Sporting, the only unbeaten team in the Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante, will want to end the year with zero losses. They face an Alcorcón in fantastic form after seven straight rounds adding points. Abelardo Fernández, the Asturian side's manager, underlined the great season that his team are having: "It has been an incredible campaign, and if we can end the year with 36 points, it would be extraordinary and spectacular".
Sporting will look to remain unbeaten against Alcorcón and pile the pressure on Las Palmas, the division leaders.
CD Leganés – RC Recreativo
Leganés and Recreativo face each other level on 20 points. The Andalusians, after four straight defeats, are preparing for the clash hoping the claim the three points. Their manager José Luis Oltra said: "We need something positive to boost morale. A victory in the last game of the year would be good for the team. We know that in the second half of the season we’ll have players returning and it will be very good for us".
UD Las Palmas – At Osasuna
The solitary leaders of the Liga Adelante face a historic club in the Spanish top flight, Osasuna, who have been unable to string together a good run of results this season. Sergio Araujo, through suspension, is the most notable absence for the Canary Islands side. Jan Urban, the Rojillos boss, will be without Javad Nekounam and Nikola Vujadinović.
R Valladolid CF – FC Barcelona B
The Pucelanos end the year in front of their supporters in a key game to continue their rise. The opposition manager, Eusebio Sacristán, underlined Valladolid’s qualities: "They're a team with a lot of quality, a lot of pace, they have very fast players who create a lot of football. They have a lot of experienced Liga BBVA players".
