Granada CF parted company with Lucas Alcaraz after a poor run of form saw them take one points from their last six games, culminating in Sunday’s 3-1 home defeat against Valencia CF.
In his third spell at the Granada helm, Alcaraz led the side for 24 games in the league and two in the Copa del Rey, securing four victories, six draws and 14 defeats in the former, and a win and a defeat in the cup. He left the team in 19th place in the standings.
Tony Adams, the former Arsenal and England defender, will take charge of the side until the end of the season. The 50 year old has seven games left to secure Granada’s top flight future starting at home to RC Celta on Sunday.
