Thibaut Courtois named LaLiga Santander Player of the Month for February

Thibaut Courtois is the winner of the LaLiga Santander Player of the Month Award for February. The Real Madrid goalkeeper made a crucial contribution in a month in which Los Blancos amassed 10 points and went unbeaten.

Real Madrid remain top of the table and have had a superb month overall, producing three wins and a draw. Not only did the Belgian make a decisive contribution to Carlo Ancelotti's side going unbeaten, he managed to keep clean sheets in all four matches played in February.

His reflexes, his ability to play out from the back and his dedication have made him a key player for the Madrid-based outfit. He kept clean sheets on all four matchdays, he has made the fifth most successful saves this season and he is one of the main reasons that Real Madrid are the second most miserly team in the competition when it comes to conceding goals.

The Belgian takes over the reins from Atletico Madrid striker, Angel Correa, who won the award in January, coming out on top in the voting ahead of the other players shortlisted for the accolade: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (FC Barcelona), Nabil Fekir (Real Betis), Daniel Vivian (Athletic Club), Pau Torres (Villarreal CF), Pere Milla (Elche CF) and Vedat Muriqi (RCD Mallorca).
