Getafe and Elche shared the spoils in what turned out to be a fair 1-1 result in the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez for matchday 13 of the Liga BBVA.

The first half saw both sides assert their dominance at different stages. The visitors started the brightest, but just as they got into full flow, Pedro León suddenly made his presence felt. A good bit of play on the right ended with the Getafe midfielder firing a shot past Manu Herrera to make it 1-0. Elche looked for a way to get back into the match before half time but was unable to find a break.

The away side kept looking for an equaliser after the break, while Getafe tried to counter-attack. Elche’s goal came just after the hour mark, with Boakye heading home to make it 1-1. After that, both teams began looking for a winner, but the final whistle blew before either was able to.
