Villarreal CF are faced with a tough test on matchday six of the Liga BBVA as they prepare to take on Real Madrid CF in El Madrigal. The Yellows are on something of a hot streak and currently find themselves level on points with Carlo Ancelotti's men. The 2-8 and 5-1 thumpings handed out by the Whites in their last two outings will be the main concern for the home side.
Team news
The side form Madrid will travel to Villarreal without Fabio Coentrão, Pepe, Jesé and Sami Khedira, all of whom are injured. For his part, Marcelino García Toral will be without Denis Cheryshev for the match due to a clause in his contract.
Views from the dugout
"Villarreal are a pacey, dynamic and well-organised team. We'll try to do everything to win. We have to start aggressively and with intensity, as we did against Deportivo", was Carlo Ancelotti's summary of the Whites' plan for their visit to Villarreal.
For his part, Marcelino had the following to say: "We're playing against a great team, and we'll be motivated by the possibility to beat them. They have scored 18 goals in three matches and that is very difficult to do. It is a team that has everything you could want".
