The game between Athletic and Atletico provided the perfect conclusion to the #LigaBBVAExperience

The final day of the #LigaBBVAExperience in Bilbao left the fans who had travelled to the city from South Africa and China with some wonderful memories to take home. Watching the clash between Athletic Club and Atletico Madrid brought three unforgettable days of football, fine food and Spanish culture to a perfect conclusion.

Wednesday came after two thrilling days on which the fans got to experience what the players feel like when they step out onto the San Mames turf, enjoy dinner with Athletic's Deusto supporters' club to get a first-hand experience of the passion for football in LaLiga, and take an extensive tour of the Basque city during which they discovered all of its charms.

The final day kicked off with breakfast, followed by a trip to one of the most emblematic venues in the Basque capital, the Guggenheim Museum – a must for anyone who wants to learn more about Bilbao. The tour around the exhibitions housed by the museum was the perfect start to the day.

After getting a taste of modern art, it was time to enjoy Bilbao's traditional pintxos, a dining experience which absolutely amazed the fans. With their bellies full and after a short rest to regain their strength, it was time to head to San Mames to watch a football match which they will never forget.

They were welcomed to Athletic Club's stadium by Jose Angel Iribar, the legendary goalkeeper from Bilbao, together with Athletic Women captain Iraia Iturregui and her teammate Garazi Murua. The three presented the fans with a certificate accrediting their experience – one which they will remember forever. The fans also got to go down to the touchline and watch the players warm up from just yards away, before witnessing the two sides do battle from a privileged vantage point.

Photos, videos and a great deal of excitement produced the perfect end to a unique experience thanks to the international project launched by LaLiga. "It's going to be impossible to forget these three days, during which we got to experience the greatest competition in the world," said one of the fans before they set off on their journey home.
