- A native of La Plata, Argentina, he was born on 20 May 1992.
- He joined Real Sociedad after four seasons in the first team at his hometown club, Estudiantes.
- He was given his senior debut for Estudiantes aged just 19.
- While at the Argentinian outfit, he set a new club record of 588 consecutive minutes without conceding.
- Back in 2006, meanwhile, the goalie was a ballboy for Estudiantes, and club icon Juan Sebastian Veron – aka La Brujita (the Little Witch) – is among his idols.
- He made his competitive bow for Real Sociedad on 28 August 2014, in a Europa League play-off game against FC Krasnodar.
- This was a bittersweet occasion for Rulli, as it saw him fracture his fifth metatarsal. The injury sidelined him for over three months: he did not return to action until 4 December 2014, in the Copa del Rey.
- Having featured in both the Europa League and the domestic cup, his Liga BBVA debut followed against Levante UD in Matchday 16 of the 2014/15 campaign, in an encounter that ended 1-1.
- Gerardo Martino handed him his first call-up for Argentina on 10 March 2015, naming him in the squad for the friendlies against El Salvador and Ecuador.
- He has let in 39 goals this term, a tally that would be significantly bigger had he not made 86 saves.
