-He was born on 9 March 1995 in Rosario, Argentina, the hometown of other great players such as Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria and Ever Banega.
-He was unearthed by the scout Jorge Garcia. His talent was spotted when he was just 11 years old, back when he was playing for local Rosario club Alianza Sport, and Garcia took him to San Lorenzo.
-A certain Juan Antonio Pizzi handed him his Argentinian top-flight debut for San Lorenzo against Newell's Old Boys.
-He captained Argentina's Under-20s to glory at the 2015 South American Youth Championship.
-Such was Correa's influence in this triumph that he was named Player of the Tournament.
-When he travelled to the Spanish capital in 2014 to undergo a medical prior to signing for Atletico Madrid, he was diagnosed with a heart tumour.
