The last spot in Europe's elite club competition is at stake.
Matchday 30. Granada CF - Rayo Vallecano: All to play for
Avoiding relegation is the name of the game for all those teams languishing at the bottom of the table and the Andalusians are set to lock horns with the Vallecanos in matchday 30 for what is shaping up to be one of the most crucial showdowns of the season. Jostling for position between seventeenth and eighteenth, both of their seasons hang in the balance. Neither can afford to fail.
Matchday 31. Levante UD - R. Sporting: Not for the faint-hearted
The bottom two in the classification measure up in a match that will prove momentous to decide the last three spots in the table. Levante and Sporting will line up for what promises to be a heart-stopper of a showdown in the closing weeks of the Liga BBVA, the repercussions of which will be felt, not only by them, but also by their direct rivals.
Matchday 32. RC Deportivo - UD Las Palmas: Steering out of trouble
If all goes to plan over the next three weeks, the Galicians and Canary Islanders could reach matchday 32 with options on securing their place in LaLiga for next year. The motivational influence of Victor Sanchez del Amo and Quique Setien on their respective teams inspiring a late run to safety.
Matchday 33. Málaga CF - Athletic Club: Sights set on European glory
Sitting pretty in the top-half of the table, they will be ramping up the pressure to consolidate their hold on the European competition slots as a reward for a consistent campaign. How will things stand in matchweek 33? That will depend on them, but they could be fighting for some very attractive objectives.
Matchday 34. Valencia CF - SD Eibar: Direct competition
These two stargazers will have very similar aspirations. Neither wanting to come away empty-handed and intent on grappling for a Europa League position, it will mark a last-ditch attempt for Gary Neville's squad, now with 34 points, to bring a complicated campaign to a close. Eibar, with their 36, will be looking to capitalise on their strong form and giving their all against any worthy direct rival.
Matchday 35. UD Las Palmas - RCD Espanyol: Edging towards safety
Sitting outside the danger zone but with safety still not assured – that is the situation the Canary Island and Catalan teams find themselves in. This game will undoubtedly be one of the pivotal points of the season for both them and their closest competition in the struggle to remain among the top flight for another year.
Matchday 36. R. Betis - FC Barcelona: Course set for victory?
Eight points separate the Liga BBVA leaders from their title rivals, Atletico Madrid. If nothing changes, both hold firm in the final sprint to the line and neither stumble on their way to matchday 36, the 'Azulgranas' will be proclaimed champions at the Benito Villamarin stadium.
Matchday 37. Getafe CF - R. Sporting: Opportunity knocks
In addition to the battle of the blackboards between Fran Escriba and Abelardo Fernandez, as they work to redirect the course of their respective teams and steer them to safety, doing enough to avoid the drop will be the target for Getafe and Sporting, relying on the final challenge to recover from the blip they have been experiencing in recent times.
Matchday 38. Rayo Vallecano - Levante UD: Movement in the relegation zone
With the contest to secure survival hotter than ever, the final matchday looms on the horizon, which will see many teams playing for their life in La Liga BBVA, trying to escape relegation to the Liga Adelante. Rayo – Levante could prove a landmark match the result of which, depending on each team's position in the table, could impact all those at the bottom of the table.
