LALIGA EA SPORTS will be back on August 15th, so it’s time to start thinking about the players who are set to stand out, the ones everyone wants to watch, the ones who wow spectators with their skills, goals and leadership.

New arrival Kylian Mbappe, rising star Lamine Yamal and Real Betis fan favourite Isco are among the ones to watch, while there are several other stars who fans won’t want to miss when Spain’s top flight returns.

Vinícius (Real Madrid)

After he led Real Madrid to LALIGA EA SPORTS and Champions League glory last season, Vinícius has demonstrated that he is the main man when it comes to stepping up and making a difference when it matters most. Backed by several top-quality teammates, Vinícius is the leader of Carlo Ancelotti’s forward line. Unstoppable in one-vs-one situations and clinical in front of goal, Vinícius is getting better with each passing year.

Lamine Yamal (FC Barcelona)

Lamine Yamal broke so many records last season and then put together a great Euro 2024 campaign, demonstrating his present and future potential. The 17-year-old FC Barcelona winger is already one of the biggest stars of the competition and one of the players who will be in the spotlight this season. His speed, skill and goalscoring prowess mean everyone is excited to see what he can do.

Isco (Real Betis)

One of the good news stories of last season was the return of Isco. Signed by Real Betis, the Spaniard repaid the team for the confidence and trust placed in him. The midfielder was the leader of Manuel Pellegrini’s team and he picked up MVP awards week after week, regaining his smile. With his dribbling, vision and assists, the Estadio Benito Villamarín fell in love with this talented playmaker and they’re looking forward to seeing what he can do in the new season.

Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid)

Kylian Mbappé has landed in LALIGA EA SPORTS. Real Madrid completed the signing of the French forward this summer, meaning they’ll unite Mbappé, Vinicius, Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham in the same forward line. Fans at the Bernabeu will be able to enjoy Mbappé’s pace, explosion and goals from this August onwards.

Nico Williams (Athletic Club)

Nico Williams is no longer known as Iñaki Williams’ little brother. He is a European champion and one of the star players of Spanish football, having scored a goal in the Euro 2024 final. After a brief rest, he’ll be back on the pitch in Spain’s top flight, bringing his pace, skill and vision with him. Last season, he was already one of the top assist providers in the competition and he’ll look to keep that up as one of the stars of LALIGA EA SPORTS.

Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid)

Now a worldwide superstar after just one year at Real Madrid, all eyes will be on the English midfielder in the new season. With a revamped squad, Real Madrid will be expected to compete for everything again and he’ll be key to the new set-up. His unexpected goalscoring explosion, with 19 goals last term, and his ability to create chances helped Carlo Ancelotti’s side win the LALIGA EA SPORTS and Champions League double, which they’ll want to repeat.

Antoine Griezmann (Atlético de Madrid)

He is the undisputed star of Atlético de Madrid and the man in charge of transmitting to his teammates the fighting spirit and sacrifice that playing in Diego Simeone’s squad entails. Griezmann will wear the red and white shirt for a ninth season, eager to thrill the fans at the Estadio Cívitas Metropolitano and to repay them with goals and assists. His versatility makes him irreplaceable, as he can be a striker or a playmaker and he’ll always score and assist. That’s in addition to his defensive effort and other pieces of skill.

Robert Lewandowski (FC Barcelona)

Hansi Flick’s FC Barcelona squad is a mix of youth and experience. And there are few players in LALIGA EA SPORTS with the experience of Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker is in his third season with Los Azulgrana and will once again be one of the favourites to win the Pichichi award. He’ll be tasked with scoring goals for the team and teaching his younger teammates how to compete in the tensest moments of the season. Having a veteran like Lewandowski in the penalty area could be key as Barça begin a new era.

Artem Dovbyk (Girona FC)

The Pichichi of the last edition of LALIGA EA SPORTS is ready to return and to score even more goals. With his 24 goals last term, he was one of the architects of Míchel’s Girona FC becoming the breakout side of Spanish football. His strength in the box, his good play in space and, of course, his goalscoring ability make the Ukrainian an almost unstoppable weapon in attack. Last season, he made a name for himself in the world of football and this season opposing defences will already know that they have to fear him.

Mikel Oyarzabal (Real Sociedad)

The scorer of the goal that won Spain Euro 2024 will be aiming to return Real Sociedad to the Champions League places this campaign. With his knee injury behind him and with the status of being a national team hero, Oyarzabal will be the star of Imanol Alguacil's team this season. Surrounded by several other European champions, the forward embodies the club’s values better than anyone, representing the academy and hard work. At 27 years of age, he is one of the most recognisable faces in a competition in which he wants to continue his good form after a historic summer.
