Successful 'Spain Experience' in Ecuador

The Sheraton Hotel in Guayaquil was the venue for the event 'Spain Experience', one of the most important of the LFP World Challenge. The function brought together officials and business figures as it gave them the chance to gain a deeper understanding of this LaLiga project, whose objective is the expansion and promotion of Spanish football and major Spanish companies in different international markets.

The event was attended by the Spanish Consul in Ecuador, Álvaro de Salas Giménez de Azcárate, ICEX economic and commercial adviser Javier Landa Aznárez, LFP World Challenge head of operations Sergi Vieta and, representing R.C.D. Espanyol, club director Montserrat Tordera, in addition to coach Sergio González and players Sergio García, Javi López, Kiko Casilla, Felipe Caicedo and Rubén Duarte.

Vieta explained the importance that sport, and particularly football, has in promoting other business areas and added that "a way of demonstrating the image of Spain is not just through gastronomy, infrastructure or fields such as biotechnology, where we play a huge role, but also through sport".
