Sporting gets its first victory of the season at the expense of Deportivo

Things could not start better for Sporting. The "Asturianos" had yet to score this season, but in eight minutes they scored twice to put the game on their side. In two similar actions, Alberto Lora made the crosses and Sanabria scored with a couple of headers ahead of the Deportivo defense. The Paraguayan striker was a threat right from the start.

Intensity

Abelardo´s team intensity surprised Deportivo that it took long to recover from the two consecutive blows suffered. When the Galicians were recovered, the clash became a back and forth between the two areas, in which the home team began to insist over the solid defense of the team from Asturias.

Deportivo's reaction

The Sporting´s joy with a two-goal lead lasted very little. In a corner kick from the right side, Juanfran went ahead to the near post and curled a perfect header that slipped into the far corner of Alberto´s goal. Deportivo´s insistency took the reward 12 minutes later, when Luis Alberto scored the equalizer with a strong shoot from the corner of the area that surprised the away team goalkeeper.

Halilovic

With the draw, Deportivo started a new game with two teams that until then were full of success in attack. It was then when emerged the figure of Croatian Halilovic. He had already been instrumental in the first two goals of his team, when in a counterattack he gave a perfect pass to Alex Menendez, who did not failed against Lux goal.

Galician´s persistency

The Galicians just could enjoy the draw when turned to see themselves below in the score again. Victor Sanchez Del Amo´s men tried to get the equalizer, but the defensive solidity of Sporting curbed all their attempts. Lucas crashed a shoot into the post in the best chance of the "Coruñeses", who tried it until the last moment.
