Shakhtar Donetsk v Sevilla and Villarreal v Liverpool in the Europa League semi-finals

Sevilla FC and Villarreal CF will face Shakhtar Donetsk and Liverpool respectively in the Europa League semi-finals. The draw, made in Nyon, saw the Andalusians, who are aiming for a third consecutive triumph in the tournament, paired with the Ukrainian 2009 victors. The Yellow Submarine were handed a tie against the English three-time winners of the old UEFA Cup.

The Sevilla v Shakhtar Donetsk semi-final clash will get underway in the Ukraine, before the return leg at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan. As for Villarreal, they will begin their tie at El Madrigal, before travelling to Anfield for the second leg. The first legs will be contested on 18 April, with the return legs taking place on 5 May.
