From 3-5 June, more than 270 coaches from various US states descended on Livermore, California for the second course taught by LaLiga in the country, LaLiga Formation Methodology - Level 3. The next destination for the programme is Virginia, where it will be in town from 29-31 July.
Hugo Blanco, LaLiga's sporting projects coordinator; Zunbeltz and Gari Fullaondo, respectively technical and methodology advisors for LaLiga; and LaLiga ambassador Ismael Urzaiz headed up the organisation's expedition and took part in the theoretical and practical sessions held during the course. A range of topics were covered, from technical, tactical and fitness training to periodisation and LaLiga's methodology.
The course falls within the framework of the collaboration agreement between LaLiga and US Club Soccer, which was signed last August by Fernando Sanz, LaLiga's MENA office manager and director of international projects, and Kevin Payne, the CEO of US Club Soccer. This agreement aims to promote the exchange of knowledge between Spanish football experts and their American counterparts, and attests to LaLiga's growing presence within the United States as part of its international expansion strategy.
