Samsung Gear S2 is the official Smartwatch of LaLiga for the 2015-2016 season

Samsung Gear S2 has been made the official Smartwatch of LaLiga for the 2015-2016 season, thanks to the agreement reached between Samsung and LaLiga at the beginning of the season. The device also incorporates a new app that allows fans to follow all LaLiga matches, and other major competitions, live and includes access to relevant information about each game. 

The application allows the user, among other things, to follow matches live in the Liga BBVA, Liga Adelante, Copa Del Rey, Champions League and Europa League. Games are updated every 30 seconds with information such as goals scored by each team, so that the user does not miss any of the action. Users have access to a complete range of information on each match, which includes goals, yellow cards, red cards, injuries and substitutions. In addition, notifications can be configured so users receive news of goals or the cards issued by the referees, directly. 

Furthermore, the LaLiga application offers a range of information related to the matches, such as the results of past games, the schedule of upcoming matches and the standings. 

Celestino Garcia, corporate vice president of Samsung, said: "football fans will no longer have to suffer if they cannot see a game. Thanks to Samsung Gear S2 they can follow each matchday live and access all the information related to their favorite team. The new LaLiga app for Samsung Gear provides immediate information on everything that happens, in a visually simple and direct way". According to Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, "We remain committed to innovation and we are working along with big brands to make sure LaLiga is also the best competition technologically".

In keeping with Samsung's commitment to sport and the values it represents, LaLiga and Samsung Electronics Iberia have signed a collaboration agreement for the 2015-2016 season with the goal of bringing to the world of football the most advanced technological innovation. This agreement includes the promotion of the Samsung brand in competitions and media of Laliga, both in football stadiums as in digital media, social networks, mobile applications, corporate events, television broadcasts and online streaming through LaLiga TV.
