The end of Real Sociedad's LaLiga World tour is nigh. On Monday the club's travelling party held their last training session of the season on the campus of Houston's Rice University. Spirits were high in the camp during a session in which ball work took centre stage. The players also practised their marksmanship and kept the keepers on their toes with some shooting drills, while proceedings were wrapped up with a half-pitch match.
La Real are now ready and prepared to conclude their American adventure with their second and final friendly Stateside, against MLS outfit the Houston Dynamo: "We will go away having got two games under our belt and had the chance to run the rule over the lads who have come with us from the B-team. This time together helps us to develop a group spirit and will stand us in good stead for the future," reflected coach Eusebio. "We want to round off with a victory and head off on our holidays on a positive note," he added.
A number of fans had flocked to the campus to watch the session and they got their reward at the end when the players signed autographs and had pictures taken with them.
Real Sociedad face the Houston Dynamo in the BBVA Compass Charities Cup this Tuesday evening (early on Wednesday morning Spanish time). This is the final event of their LaLiga World tour of the United States before they head home to the Basque Country.
