Real Sociedad continue their climb

Real Sociedad ran out convincing winners against Granada thanks to two goals from Oyarzabal and a third from Jonathas in a game in which the Andalusians failed to find a way past a solid Basque side.

Oyarzabal's impressive form continues

Both teams started strongly, but Real Sociedad wasted no time at all in taking control of the game through their attacking players. They were rewarded for their efforts when they scored with their first clear chance of the game. Yuri Berchiche set up Mikel Oyarzabal who deftly slotted the ball past Andres Fernandez at the near post.

Jonathas shows no mercy

Granada CF tried to stretch La Real through Isaac Success' constant forays into the opposition's half, but the home side took their chances better. Carlos Vela picked up the ball on the edge of the area and sent in a pinpoint cross which Jonathas volleyed home to cap an impressive first half for the Basque side.

Vela at his best

Despite not getting on the scoresheet himself, Vela was one of the best players out on the pitch. The Mexican is back to his best and got the assist in his team's third goal of the game early in the second half. He picked up Asier Illarramendi's pass inside the area and held the ball up well, waiting for the perfect moment to square it to Oyarzabal for his second goal.

Granada shuffle their pack

At 3-0 down, Jose Ramon Sandoval chose to make some changes in attack and brought on David Barral and Isaac Cuenca for Youseff El-Arabi and Adalberto Penaranda. However, the substitutions did not bring about the desired effect and Eusebio Sacristan's charges created a string of chances to extend their lead as they broke through the visitors' defence far too easily.

Isaac Success

Isaac Success was again Granada's man of the match. The Nigerian was the Andalusian side's most active player as he continuously ran riot down both wings, but he failed to find a teammate capable of carving out the chances needed to break down La Real.
