Real Madrid couldn't overcome Kameni

Real Madrid attacked from the sides

All the game of the White team in the first half came from the sides, where Jesse and Carvajal created much danger. Two of the clearest chances were for the player from Canarias, when Rafa Benitez changed him to the left to make more damage to Malaga.

Outstanding Kameni

Cameroonian goalkeeper stood firm and built a wall in the goal of the Santiago Bernabeu, from which he stopped everything that crossed his area in the first half. Two shoots of Jesse, and two by Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema were saved by the African goalie in the key moments of the match.

Best Málaga of the season

Javi Gracia read the game to perfection and, in the first half, bothered Real Madrid on its home ground. Nordin Amrabat put the team on his back and led the best Málaga of the six first matchdays of the season.

White siege in the last minutes

The Whites were in all haste, aware of the 0-0 still remained on the scoreboard in the second half. All team turned in the attack and besieged Kameni´s  goal. Isco Alarcon, Benzema, Cristiano and even Toni Kroos had chances for all likings, but the ball did not enter.

Amrabat sent off

Malaga resisted the Whites’ siege, but in the 75th minute was left outnumbered after an action with Marcelo in which the Moroccan player was sent off for a straight red card.
