The Copa del Rey round of 32 got underway with two early matches, UE Cornellà-Real Madrid and CE Sabadell-Sevilla FC. The Liga BBVA sides won 1-4 and 1-6, respectively.
The Whites took the lead with a header from Raphaël Varane. Ten minutes later the Catalans levelled the scores with a goal from Óscar Muñoz. The second goal for the
visitors was from another corner and the scorer was French centre-back Varane once
more. Carlo Ancelotti's men's victory was closed out with goals from Javier 'Chicharito' Hernández and Marcelo.
Sevilla recorded a 1-6 win over Liga Adelante side Sabadell. The first goal was the work of Timothée Kolodziejczak after half an hour of play. On the verge of the break, Iago
Aspas scored another and the third came in the second half. Shortly afterwards Kevin
Gameiro made it 0-4, but the goals kept coming and Reyes joined in the fun. Sabadell's
goal was scored by Ernest Forgas. Aspas capped off his night by sealing his hat-trick and
the 1-6 scoreline.
These ties come to an end of 2 December in the Santiago Bernabéu and 3 December in
the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. The remaining matches in the round will take place on 2
and 5 December.
