Bravo denies Jonathan
The first clear chance of the game fell to the visitors and could have changed the course of the game had it not been for a fine save from Claudio Bravo. Jonathan was put through one-on-one with the Chilean, who blocked the shot with an out-stretched leg.
Messi magic
The Argentine forward broke the deadlock just before halftime. Luis Suarez won a freekick just outside the area which gave Barca’s number 10 his chance and he curled a precise shot beyond his compatriot German Lux.

Rakitic rocket
The Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic was pulling the strings in midfield, helping out in defence and attack, and was amply rewarded in the 62nd minute. A fine strike from distance flew inside the far post for his first goal in LaLiga this season.
In-form Lucas Pérez
RC Deportivo never lost hope and started causing the hosts problems, with leading scorer Lucas Perez at the heart of their attacks. The 27-year-old led a series of counter-attacks which unsettled the Barca defence, and after 77 minutes he burst into the area to net his 10th goal of the campaign.
Bergantiños earns Depor a point
Once again, Lucas Perez was the man causing problems when he helped set up the equaliser four minutes from time. Alex Bergantiños had been tireless in midfield, and broke forward as part of a counter-attack. Lucas Perez laid the ball wide and Bergantiños volleyed a superb shot wide of Bravo.
