Quique Sánchez Flores has left Getafe CF after offering his resignation. The coach confirmed his departure on Thursday at a press conference held at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, in which he said it was a "personal decision that was the product of an important reflection".
"I'd like to thank everyone. The sporting directors, the president, my staff, the club staff, the media, and above all the players, who have been exemplary in their behaviour, attitude, work and love for their profession. I'd also like to than Getafe's fans, who for two months made me feel special", he said to the media.
Quique Sánchez Flores, who had previously taken charge of the Madrid side in 2004-05, returned to Getafe in January. His first game came in the quarterfinal of the Copa del Rey, and in the seven Liga BBVA matches he took charge of he won nine points with three wins and four defeats.
