CA Osasuna and Real Valladolid CF were unable to break the deadlock in round 33 of Liga BBVA in a game that could have gone either way. Álvaro Cejudo and Javi Guerra might have opened the scoring, but the bar and Andrés Fernández prevented goals at El Sadar.
Two direct rivals in the fight for survival met in Navarra, where the sides had drawn six of their last eight encounters. Osasuna came out looking to use home advantage, but neither Cejudo, who hit the bar in the opening minutes, nor Roberto Torres were capable of opening the scoring for the Basque outfit.
The second half started well. Victor Pérez worried the home side with a shot that hit the woodwork, and a minute later, Cejudo might have scored, but he was denied by Jaime one-on-one. In the dying moments of the game it was Javi Guerra of the visitors who could have been a hero, but his shot was tipped wide by Andrés Fernández. The points were shared between the two sides in a result that does neither side a favour in their fight for survival.
