On-song Villarreal pit their wits against in-form Juanpi

The Yellow Submarine, on a 10-game unbeaten run (which has included seven wins and three draws), will be looking to harness the scintillating form of the Venezuelan starlet, who has found the back of the net in each of his last three outings.

Team news:

Villarreal CF: Eric Bailly, Samu Garcia and Adrian Lopez (all injured).

Malaga CF: Juan Carlos, Christian Atsu and Chory (all injured); Recio (suspended).

Match Facts:

Villarreal CF (4th, 45 pts):

Villarreal are unbeaten in 10, with Marcelo's men having recorded seven wins and three draws in the process. This represents an excellent return and is one which has seen the hosts climb up into fourth place in LaLiga, where they boast a healthy eight-point cushion between themselves and fifth-placed Sevilla FC.

- Striker Leo Baptistao has expressed his belief that the key to remaining in the Champions League spots lies in their home form. "We know that now in the second half of the season we're going to have to produce some formidable home form. The points up for grabs at home are precious ones because we've got some very tricky away trips to come".

Malaga CF (10th, 30 pts):

- Javi Gracia and his charges have successfully managed to turn their season around as the Boquerones now sit comfortably in mid-table on 30 points. Victory against Villarreal would leave them just outside the European qualification places.

- There's no doubting that if you had to name one stand-out performer in the Malaga side, it would be Juanpi. The young Venezuelan has got his name on the score sheet in three games on the bounce, against FC Barcelona, SD Eibar and Getafe CF. His excellent displays have certainly seen him live up the hype.

Don't leave Villarreal without… visiting the Sanctuary of Saint Pascual Baylon, where you can catch a glimpse of the work of local sculptor, Vicente Llorens Poy. Along with the Royal Chapel it's one of the city's heritage gems.
