After two successive defeats in the Liga BBVA, Osasuna took all three points from the Estadio José Zorrilla. The little red ones’ 1-0 over Real Valladolid means the Navarre outfit can now move out of the relegation zone.
The home side dominated the first half, although it was Osasuna that wasted the clearest chances to take the lead. Damià and Álvaro Cejudo were both denied good goal scoring opportunities by Diego Mariño in the Valladolid net.
Valladolid decided to go for it after the break, while Javi Gracia’s men did exactly the opposite, sitting back and defending well against wave after wave of attack. Despite not having much possession, the visitors seemed relatively comfortable and were able to go in front through Oier Sanjurjo. Osasuna managed to hold onto the 1-0 lead to record its second away win of the season.
