SD Ponferradina 0-0 AD Alcorcon
These two sides served up a goalless stalemate at a rainy Toralin stadium in a game in which neither team managed to breach the opposition's defence. The clearest goalscoring opportunity fell to Alcorcon's David Rodriguez in the first half. Having seized on an error from goalkeeper Dinu Moldovan, the forward failed to find the back of the net with a shot on the turn.
Gimnastic 1-0 Elche CF
Nastic continue to deliver in what's been an excellent season for the Catalans. The hosts continue their climb as for the eighth time this term they claimed maximum points at the Nou Estadi. An 11th-minute strike from Naranjo, who now has six Liga Adelante goals to his name, proved to be the difference between the sides.
Athletic Club B 0-1 R. Valladolid CF
Valladolid extended their unbeaten run to six as they left San Mames with three precious points courtesy of a Roger Marti effort. The Valencia-born marksman fired past Alex Remiro after a neat exchange of passes with Juan Villar.
UD Almeria 0-2 CD Lugo
The Galicians brought an end to a run which had seen them go four games without victory. After an even first half at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterraneos, Iriome put his side ahead on 52 minutes. The Andalusians pushed for an equaliser right until the death, but Pablo Caballero put the result beyond doubt with his side's second of the afternoon in injury time.
CD Mirandes 0-0 D. Alaves
League leaders Alaves picked up another point in their quest for promotion. The visitors were forced to dig deep in Anduva against a Mirandes side who came into the game having won their last three. Alaves' goalkeeper, Fernando Pacheco, played a key role in ensuring that the hosts didn't further extend their winning streak.
Cordoba CF 0-2 R. Zaragoza
The visitors got off to a dream start after Razak Brimah turned the ball into his own net. In the early stages of the second half, Fredy Hinestroza doubled Zaragoza's lead with what turned out to be the last goal of the game.
SD Huesca 0-1 Girona FC
Girona finished the game with 10 men after Florian Lejeune was given his marching orders, but the Catalans still left the Alcoraz stadium with maximum points after Borja Garcia's opportunistic 17th-minute finish. Meanwhile, Huesca's pursuit of league points is made to wait for another matchday.
R. Oviedo 1-0 CD Tenerife
A goal on 28 minutes from Toche, who once again put the finishing touch to a Nestor Susaeta assist, was enough to clinch victory for the Asturians. The home side - who finished the game with 10 after Hector Verdes saw red - dealt much better with the wet conditions at the Carlos Tartiere stadium.
UE Llagostera 2-0 Albacete B.
Whilst in the opening exchanges it was the goalkeepers who were in the ascendancy, the Catalan side, who came into the clash on the back of nine games without having record a victory, claimed three invaluable points in their fight to avoid the drop. Samu and David Querol were on target for the hosts.
CD Leganes 2-0 At. Osasuna
The home side marked the 18th anniversary of their Butarque stadium with a two-goal win. Alex Szymanowski and Ruben Pena found the net to keep the Madrid-based side in the automatic promotion spots, whilst the result leaves Osasuna in 7th, just outside the play-off places.
CD Numancia 2-0 RCD Mallorca
Numancia toasted the installation of a new heating system at a packed Pajaritos stadium with a 2-0 triumph over a new-look Mallorca side. Skipper Julio Alvarez grabbed himself a brace, firing home from the spot, before doubling his tally for the day from a direct free-kick.
