The goalscoring captain
With 15 minutes on the clock, Alex Bergantinos - making his 13th start of the season - drew first blood at Riazor. An inswinging corner from Lucas Perez was met at the near post by the RC Deportivo skipper who outjumped the Real Betis defence to glance home off the underside of the crossbar.

Charly Junior Musonda continues to impress
Betis' exciting winter transfer coup made his debut for the Andalusians last time out against Valencia CF, when he turned in a performance in which the youngster showcased just what he's capable of. In his second outing, the Belgian opened his account as he nodded home a Juan Manuel Vargas centre on 20 minutes to draw the visitors level.

Excellent display from Vargas
The Peruvian was at the centre of everything as the Verdiblancos clawed themselves back into the game. After having teed up Musonda for the equaliser, Vargas stepped up to put his side in the driving seat by drilling home a 37th-minute free-kick which beat Poroto Lux at his near post.

Faycal Fajr hits back
Deportivo didn't fold in the face of the rousing Betis comeback, and in the opening minutes of the second half the hosts restored parity as Faycal Fajr turned the ball home at the far post to make it 2-2 after Lucas Perez's effort was heading wide of the target.

Adan turns Betis' saviour
Juan Merino's men are indebted to their goalkeeper, who ensured that the Sevillians didn't leave Riazor empty-handed. In the first half, Adan was on hand to make two excellent saves to deny Luis Alberto and Perez and in the dying stages he once again thwarted Perez when he was clean through on goal.
