Matchday 26 of the Liga BBVA throws up a juicy tie between two teams with well-defined playing styles intent on achieving their respective objectives. Villarreal CF, in the midst of a demanding few weeks of fixtures, play hosts to a RC Celta team with everything to play for.
Team News
Missing from the Castile-La Mancha outfit's squad are the injured Bruno Soriano, Bojan Jokić and Adrián Marín. Joining them on the sidelines are defenders Eric Bailly, who has a niggling injury, and Víctor Ruiz, who is being rested. The most notable absentee for Celta is Michael Krohn-Dehli, but to make up for this setback Sergi Gómez makes his way back into the side after seeing out a one match suspension.
View from the dugouts
In his pre-match press conference, Marcelino García Toral, the Villarreal boss, pointed out Edurado Berizzo's side's strengths: "Winning won’t be easy. Celta demand a lot of you, they attack and counter-attack very well". The Galicians' coach also talked up the upcoming opponents: "They are a team that play very well, they have a great squad and have a very clear playing style. We will have to be very organised, win our individual battles and not allow them to dominate through possession".
