Moyes named manager of Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad now have a new manager. The Basque side announced the appointment of David Moyes until 30 June 2016 through an official statement. The Scot, formerly of Everton and Manchester United, takes over from Jagoba Arrasate on the Anoeta bench.

The coach made his name with Everton, where he managed for 11 years, taking the side to the UEFA Champions League qualifiers and winning Premier League manager of the year three times during his spell at Goodison Park.

The club's statement also revealed that Moyes will take over on Monday, and this will be the day of his first training session.
