Moreno doubtful for Espanyol

Mexican centre-back Héctor Moreno is a serious doubt for RCD Espanyol's match against Elche CF in the Martínez Valero Stadium on Saturday. The Catalonian team's defender came off with an injury in the dying minutes of the match against Getafe CF and, having undergone the necessary medical tests, it has been confirmed that he has ruptured fibres in the biceps femoris in his right leg.

Together with Diego Colotto, the Central American player has been a regular in the centre of Javier Aguirre's rear-guard, meaning that his absence will be a tough blow to the Mexican manager's system. If he is unavailable, Raúl Rodríguez or Sidnei will fill his position in the defence.
