More fine fare in fifth Santander Adrenalyn Challenge by LaLiga eSports online event

With every passing week, the business end of the inaugural Santander Adrenalyn Challenge by LaLiga eSports, one of the two major electronic sports projects launched by LaLiga, draws inexorably closer.

The fifth of the eight online qualifying tournaments was held this past weekend, with a ticket to the finals – to be played in person at Gamergy 2018, Spain's premier eSports event – up for grabs.

On this occasion it was nasito, the runner-up in the first online tournament, who tasted sweet victory, defeating La Situacion 2-0 on aggregate. Cunyh_claimed bronze thanks to a 2-0 win over Hugolas in the third-place playoff.

The sixth tournament will be staged this coming weekend, on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 May. These qualifying events will continue every Saturday until 19 May, when the online phase's eighth and final tournament will begin, and the eight winners will go through to the final phase, to be contested at Gamergy between 22 and 24 June.

At Gamergy, Spain's biggest eSports and gaming festival, eight in-person open tournaments will be played to determine the gamers who will face off against the champions from the online phase. This final field of 16 will compete against one another in a gripping final that will take place during the event.
