Sevilla FC - Real Betis

Sevilla's 2-0 first leg win at the Benito Villamarin leaves Betis with an uphill struggle but they will hope new coach Juan Merino, who replaced Pepe Mel on Sunday, will inspire a comeback at the home of their city rivals and an upturn in fortunes.

RC Deportivo - CD Mirandés

The 1-1 draw at Anduva means Liga Adelante side Mirandes are very much alive in this tie. The team from Burgos head to Riazor looking for the upset of the round against a Deportivo side pushing for the European places in the Liga BBVA.

RC Celta de Vigo - Cádiz CF

The Galicians secured a convincing 3-0 win at the Ramon de Carranza and they will hope to recover some confidence with a comfortable passage into the last eight after a poor recent run in the Liga BBVA. Cadiz travel with little to lose but much to gain from a win.

Villarreal CF - Athletic Club

Last year's finalists Athletic Club staged a thrilling comeback to win 3-2 at San Mames setting up a fascinating second leg at El Madrigal. With both sides pushing for the European places in Liga BBVA it promises to be one of the ties of the week.

RCD Espanyol - FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona's 4-1 win at the Camp Nou means the holders are favorite to progress but there is plenty to be wary of in a city derby. Espanyol will be looking to their fans to help fire a fightback to upset their neighbours.

UD Las Palmas - SD Eibar

The Canary Islanders are well placed to progress having won 3-2 at Ipurua but José Luis Mendilibar's men travel to Gran Canaria after three consecutive wins moved them up to sixth in the Liga BBVA.

Atlético Madrid - Rayo Vallecano

The 1-1 draw at Vallecas means Atlético Madrid have the upper hand for the return leg but the leaders can expect a rough ride from struggling Rayo. Paco Jemez's side will hope to ruffle the feathers of their neighbours in this city derby.

Granada CF - Valencia CF

Gary Neville's side have yet to earn him a win in the Liga BBVA but they did their homework in the first leg with a 4-0 triumph at Mestalla. Granada will hope for an early goal and to exploit Valencia's poor away form to cause an upset.
