FIFA announced the names of the three finalists vying for the Ballon d'Or 2015. They are Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona), Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) and Neymar JR (FC Barcelona), three players of LaLiga.

The award will be presented on 11 January at a gala to be held in Zurich. Leo Messi won the title in the editions of 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, while Cristiano Ronaldo is the reigning champion after winning it in 2014. Meanwhile, Neymar aspires to his first trophy in his first appearance among the three finalists.
FIFA also announced the rest of finalists in the different categories:
Josep Guardiola (Bayern), Luis Enrique (Barcelona) and Sampaoli (Chile) are the three coaches nominated for FIFA World Coach of the Year for Men's Football
Jil Ellis (USA National Team), Mark Sampson (England National Team) and Norio Sasaki (Japan National Team) are the nominated for FIFA World Coach of the Year for Women's Football
Alessandro Florenzi (Roma), Wendell Lira (Brazil) and Lionel Messi (Barcelona) are the nominees for the Puskas Award for Best Goal of the Year.
Carli Lloyd (USA), Aya Miyama (Japan) and Celica Sasic (Germany) are the three players nominated for FIFA Women's World Player of the Year
