Málaga CF Granada CF will face each other on matchday 32 of the Liga BBVA aiming to secure some points towards their ultimate goal: survival. The home team comes off the back of an important victory against Real Betis Balompié (1-2) while the rojiblancos have suffered consecutive defeats at the hands of Club Atlético de Madrid and Levante UD.
Bernd Schuster’s side go into the encounter at La Rosaleda in high spirits after their victory last Monday. “Three points tomorrow could give us a big boost. If we do it, the team’s morale will improve and the planning will be easier”, said the German manager. A pivotal encounter in which Oleksandr Iakovenko and Pablo Pérez are the new additions to the matchday squad, with the injured Weligton and Sergio Sánchez missing out.
Granada, meanwhile, will want to get back to winning ways, as Lucas Alcaraz pointed out. “We’re going to try and win there. We’re hopeful we can do it; the team always has the same intent to play”, said the Andalusian manager, who will be without Recio for this clash. Tiago Ilori is in doubt until the last minute.
