Getafe CF's start to the Liga BBVA 2013/14 season has been one to remember. The side coached by Luis García is currently fifth in the table with 16 points from a possible 27.
After their victory against Granada CF, the azulones equalled their record of four consecutive wins, which they set in the Liga BBVA 2010/11 season, with José Miguel González 'Míchel' at the helm. That year, Getafe beat Sevilla FC, RCD Mallorca, Villarreal CF and UD Almería in successive matches.
RC Celta de Vigo, RCD Espanyol, Real Betis Balompié and the team from Granada, have all been victims of Luis García's men this time round. The four victories currently have the team from the south of Madrid in the European spots after nine matches. It is also a best for Luis García, the manager from Madrid, beating his record from Levante UD in the 2010/11 season.
