The 2015/16 season is progressing and after seven matchdays played, Liga BBVA is the most competitive compared to the big leagues in Europe.
In Spain, the current leader, Villarreal CF, has 16 points and only exceeds the second by a point. In addition, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and RC Celta are second, third and fourth, tied with 15 points. The fifth-placed Atletico Madrid has 13 points, just three off the lead.
Meanwhile, in leagues such as Germany or France, the difference is wider. The Bundesliga is led by Bayern Munich, with full of victories and 24 points on the table. The difference with the second, Borussia Dortmund, is of seven points. Third-placed Schalke 04, has a point less than Borussia and is eight points behind Bayern.
