AD Alcorcon v Bilbao Athletic
Alcorcon will be keen to get back to winning ways after three consecutive draws have left them two points shy of the promotion playoff places. Bottom club Bilbao Athletic won their first away game at Mallorca on their last road trip.
RCD Mallorca v Gimnastic
After a promising start under new coach Fernando Vazquez, Mallorca have slipped to consecutive defeats and lie one point above the bottom four. Nastic are unbeaten in five and have climbed up to fourth in the standings.
Albacete v CD Mirandes
Albacete are 19th and without a win in their last five outings as they prepare to receive the division’s leading scorers Mirandes (40 goals), who occupy the last promotion playoff place in sixth. Albacete held Mirandes to a 1-1 draw earlier in the season.
CD Lugo v CD Leganes
Mid-table Lugo host high-flying Leganes who are four points short of leaders Alaves in second place. Lugo won 2-0 at Almeria last weekend, Leganes triumphed with the same scoreline at home to Osasuna.
SD Ponferradina v Cordoba CF
Misfiring Ponferradina are without a win in nine outings and have drawn their last two games 0-0. Cordoba are having similar problems at the top of the standings, where they have slipped to fifth after a run of four games without a win.
D.Alaves v UD Almeria
The leaders Alaves have won their last two games 1-0 at home but were held to a 0-0 draw on their last outing at Mirandes. Almeria, down in 20th place, have yet to win a game on the road this season.
R.Valladolid CF v CD Numancia
Valladolid are three points outside the promotion playoff places after a six-game unbeaten run. Visitors Numancia are on a similar run of form and have notched two wins and three draws to climb to 13th.
Elche CF v SD Huesca
Elche lie a point outside the promotion playoff places in eighth after suffering a 1-0 defeat at in-form Nastic last time out. Huesca are a point above the relegation places after a 1-0 defeat against Girona.
Girona FC v R.Oviedo
Girona won 2-1 at Oviedo earlier in the season and have strung and have strung together a five-game unbeaten run to climb the standings. Oviedo are third, last week’s 1-0 win over Tenerife ending a string of four consecutive draws.
CD Tenerife v UE Llagostera
Tenerife will be hoping their strong home form will help them pull away from the bottom four when they host struggling Llagostera. But the team who lie penultimate in the standings are lifted after a 2-0 win over Albacete.
At.Osasuna v R.Zaragoza
Osasuna are kept out of the playoff places on goal difference and will want to bounce back from last week’s defeat, against a direct rival for promotion. The Navarrans are two points ahead of Zaragoza, who have won two on the trot.
