During days 3, 4 and 5 November at Dublin (Ireland) the prestigious 2015 Web Summit, which bring together renowned expert from different matters related to the digital development is held. Ignacio Martinez Trujillo, CEO of Innovation and Global Development, participated in the event to explain the digital strategy of the Spanish body, which aroused the interest of the technological world.
Under the heading "Video on social networks in the sports industry", Martinez Trujillo shared presentation with digital content managers of The All England Lawn Tennis Club (Wimbledon Championship) and companies with great appreciation as Grabyo platform leading innovation in videos in real time. Among the experts who gathered at the event were representatives of Samsung, Reuters, Pinterest, Wall Street Journal, Google, HBO, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Forbes or Coca Cola.
LaLiga's CEO of Innovation and Global Development explained the digital strategy of the Spanish organization. "We live a great audiovisual opportunity today. We have the chance to reach many people through technology. The more the better. In that regard, LaLiga and sport contents have in favor the consumption in Real Time. Real-time streaming of sporting events is one of the great strengths of digital consumption in the near future", said Martinez Trujillo.
LaLiga´s CEO also spoke about the audiovisual rights of Spanish football in digital environments, monetization and the challenges that is facing the world of sport with the emergence of new platforms and applications. "Many people have asked us about the use of Periscope on live sporting events. We believe that there must be a balance between the new forms of consumption and the new forms of information at audiovisual level with property and audiovisual rights".
Four years after its creation, Web Summit has become one of the most influential international technology events. In this 2015 edition brings together more than 500 renowned speakers in about 10 debate scenarios. Among the guests are about 2000 startups worldwide, 800 journalists specialized in technology and over 1,000 investors specialized in digital.
