Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, and Ignacio Martinez Trujillo, Strategic Projects general director, met this Monday September 14 at the White House, with Daniel H. Martí, U.S. Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator within the Executive Office of the President, in order to address the problem and share their experiences in the fight against a scourge that affects especially the cultural, audiovisual and sports sectors.
To go a step further and eliminate the enormous damage that this illegal practice represents, both institutions agreed to continue working together and share their know how with the most important leagues in the world and set a common strategy to combat supplier's piracy.
In the upcoming months, a group of international experts, including LaLiga, will seek the protection needed to eradicate the damage to the industry. The Office of the U.S. Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator pledged not only to support this project, but also to coordinate it and gather the most renowned experts worldwide.
