After a long and exciting transfer window, LaLiga Santander’s closed on Monday 5 October with more than 130 players moving clubs.
Elche CF have been one of the most active clubs in this window, making a total of 13 signings: Tete Morente, Raul Guti, Lucas Boye, Miguel Cifuentes, Luismi, Lucu, Youssouf Kone, Juan Sanchez Miño, Antonio Barragan, Guido Carrillo, Ivan Marconi, Emiliano Rigoni and Diego Rodriguez. Another of the teams that have strengthened the most is Sevilla FC, signing some big international stars. Players such as Ivan Rakitic, Suso, Bono, Oscar and Oussama Idrissi have joined the Andalusians.
Villarreal CF have also made some notable signings, with Dani Parejo and Francis Coquelin joining from Valencia and Takefusa Kubo from Real Madrid.
Granada CF have also impressed with their recruitment in this window. Luis Suarez, Luis Milla, Jorge Molina and Kenedy, among others, have joined Diego Martinez's charges to give the squad a real boost in quality.
In addition, we will get the chance to enjoy some top players who have already shone in LaLiga Santander. Luis Suarez, who has joined Atletico Madrid from FC Barcelona; David Silva, who is back in LaLiga with Real Sociedad after ten years away; Real Betis’s new goalkeeping recruit Claudio Bravo; and also Martin Odegaard, who has returned to Real Madrid after an impressive season on loan at Real Sociedad.
Among the deadline day moves were Victor Mollejo to Getafe CF, Nehuen Perez to Granada, Lucas Torreira to Atletico Madrid and Karim Rekik to Sevilla. Now we will have the chance to enjoy these stars in LaLiga for at least a season.
