LaLiga has sent a letter to the General Secretary of UEFA and recently elected FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, to report the incidents which took place during Thursday's second-leg Round of 16 Europa League fixture between Rapid Vienna and Valencia CF.
In the letter, LaLiga express that "the behaviour from the supporters of the Austrian team goes against UEFA's respect policy which involves zero tolerance on activities inciting violence, racism or discrimination". The Spanish organisation calls on UEFA to take "firm action to protect Valencia CF" and for "the relevant steps" to be taken "to determine the possible liabilities incurred by the perpetrators of the activities and those who allowed them or should have prevented them".
LaLiga explain in the document that "this action which was unquestionably aimed towards Valencia CF, its supporters and several individuals who work for the club, represents an unacceptable act which goes against sporting values and could trigger future incidents of violence, as such it cannot be consented by any sporting organisation".
