Matchday 33 of the Liga BBVA has come and gone and LaLiga Fantasy has tallied up the points to bring you the standout performers. The presence of James Rodriguez, the Player of the Matchday, was of particular note. These are the players who make up the LaLiga Fantasy Best XI thanks to the official LaLiga statistics, a 100% objective barometer which establishes the top performing players of the Liga BBVA over the weekend.
The Real Madrid midfielder racked up 18 points and stands on high as LaLiga Fantasy's Player of the Matchday after finding the back of the net for his team against Getafe, as well as putting in a superb all-round performance. His teammate, Karim Benzema, also makes an appearance in the Best XI with a total of 17 points. Real Madrid put on good display and their hard work was rewarded with their representation in the XI.
Alongside Karim Benzema, Leo Messi completes the strike partnership with a total of 15 points. The Argentine scored FC Barcelona's goal against Valencia CF.
The back line is composed of three players: Sergio Escudero and Jonny, both on 11 points; and the UD Las Palmas player Pedro Bigas, with 10 points to his credit.
The most impressive department of the Best XI is the midfield, with five players. The Player of the Matchday, James Rodriguez, is joined by Koke, on 16 points after scoring Atletico Madrid's first goal; Jony, with 15; and Ever Banega and Pablo Sarabia on 13.
The Athletic Club goalkeeper, Gorka Iraizoz, was the pick of the bunch between the sticks after notching up 10 points for his clean sheet against Malaga CF.
